So not sure what this is. We have a big Suncor refinery near us, so it may explain it, but the drifting, dropping tone is SO interesting to me.
Meteor Scatter Weekend!
Coming up this weekend – Leonid meteor showers!
We will be attempting to work Friday night/Saturday morning and Saturday night/Sunday morning on 6m and 2m meteor scatter from DM79 in west Denver.
If you are new to the meteor scatter modes, you will be very familiar with MSK144’s operating process – as it’s almost exactly like FT8’s!
Pingtalk as always is your clearinghouse for Meteor Scatter QSO scheduling. Lurk first! If you are planning to try to listen, early mornings (2a-6a) local time are going to be hottest. Aim east!

This is the radio i’ve had longer than any other. Bought used in 2002 and I will never sell it. The door is original.
Here’s a nice shot of it right after I replaced the old dead bulbs with new yellow LED’s. I like this look best. Almost matches my IC-475A now.
